Time Quest is a Greek-themed match-3 game. Your job is to form rows of three or more pieces of the same type by swapping two neighboring pieces. Golden squares appear where rows have been formed successfully. In order to complete a level, you must turn the whole board gold. The board also has empty spaces where you can place any of the neighboring pieces and also locked squares that need to be opened before placing a piece on them.
In this game you always play against an opponent. Obviously, the first who clears the board wins the game. If you can't figure out which piece to move, you can use the hints, which will point at the pieces that can form a row.
There is also a series of bonuses and power-ups that you can use to clear the board faster, such as chains of lightning bolts, whirlwinds, bombs, to name but a few. Apart from the bonuses, there also penalties that you can use on your opponent, such as fire, wall, fog, among others. Each of the bonuses and penalties have specific functions that should be learned first in order to use them wisely. There are also collectible trophies that can be won by performing combos.
All in all, Time Quest is just another match-3 game: it is enjoyable, but has nothing new to offer.
